I have gained broad experience working in senior HR roles in the public sector for many years and this included coaching managers and school leaders. I have practiced yoga and meditation for many years and have always recognised the positive impact on wellbeing that such practice can have on individuals.
In March 2020 COVID 19 arrived and things changed!. I was working from home and decided that I should make use of the time that I would be gaining from not having to commute to the office and so I explored a number of training/qualification options mainly around personal/self development.
I wanted something that would align with my work in HR and other training/qualifications that I have gained over the years for example I am a qualified coach and NLP Practitioner and I wanted to be able to enhance my skillset to help others. I had always enjoyed coaching staff and managers who I worked with and seeing them develop and progress gave me immense satisfaction.
I used hypnotherapy myself many years ago to deal with a phobia so I understood how effective it was and how it can have a positive impact on individuals in many areas of their lives. I used a number of self-hypnosis recordings from various therapists on a daily basis and I found that they helped me to deal with any stress and anxiety that I was experiencing especially in the initial COVID lock down.
I studied hypnotherapy and specifically Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy – with the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. The combination of the two most powerful psychological therapies: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy; provides the most effective and proven therapy currently available.
